Virtual Reality in Education

Both Google and Microsoft are concentrating on education applications of virtual reality.  Google introduced a virtual education product called Google Expedition with cardboard head sets.  These allow students to learn as they experience virtual field trips.  Microsoft has concentrated on medical education, but possibilities for virtual reality and augmented reality could replace future tools for history educators, historians and scholars in any diversity of fields.
