A Historic House: Amazing Vacation Home Featured on the Travel Channel
Built about 1810, this beautiful historic stone house sits in the middle of a 120 acre working cattle farm
on a bluff overlooking the C&O Canal and Potomac River. It is surrounded by open fields with
unrestricted views of nearby mountains. There is a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable family room, elegant dining and living rooms,
four bedrooms, three bathrooms and four fireplaces-three electric and one wood burning. The farm is adjacent
to the Antietam Battlefield near many historic and scenic attractions including Gettysburg and other Civil War
sites. Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis are within driving distance.

TV and Movie Location: George Washington slept here on the night before crossing the Delaware while his troops were camped in the pasture in the new Mount Vernon documentary film. The house is also featured as an Amazing Vacation Home on the Travel Channel. |

Comfort and Convenience
The kitchen includes all modern appliances and seats 6. The family room has a wood burning fireplace, cable TV, VCR, DVD and Civil War videos.

The spacious dining room seats 8 and includes a collection of
Civil War books. The elegant and comfortable living room includes a record player, collection of records, CD’s and a
cupboard with puzzles and games. The couches in the living room and family room are full-size
sleeper sofas. There is a bath and shower on the first floor.

The beautiful curved staircase leads to the master bedroom with an
electric fireplace and king size four poster bed; the guest bedroom includes a king size bed; an adjoining children’s room has two twin size
trundle beds. There is a full bath with shower and tub. The third floor is a spacious loft with double bed and futon
couch-bed, fireplace and full bath with shower and tub.

$1,000 plus 6% tax for weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) or any three days.
$2,000 plus 6% tax per week (seven days).
$300 plus 6% tax for each additional day.
A deposit of ½ the rent is due at time of reservation and the remainder at the time of
occupancy. Please, no smoking or pets allowed. The barn is off limits.
