The complex is called Kaanapali Plantation and has beautifully landscaped grounds with a heated pool, shuffleboard, tennis court, and a kitchen/barbecue, and cabana area for the use of guests. It is a peaceful setting where pool and tennis facilities are not crowded because most of the owners in the complex are full-time residents, who work on the island.

The Plantation borders on the world-class Royal Kaanapali Golf Course and is just above the Maui Kaanapali Villas and the little train station in Kaanapali. Our condo/home is very close to golf, restaurants, shopping, and hotel resorts.

We are at a 500 feet elevation, overlooking the panoramic view of the ocean, stretching from the Island of Molokai to the Island of Lanai. The trade winds cool the tropical air, on this, the sunset side of Maui. Tropical gardens surround you with lush foliage and flowers. Our famous Kahakili State Park Beach or "Airport Beach" is just down the hill, a two minute drive or a short walk. This sandy stretch of beach is perfect for swimming, sunning, and snorkeling. Restrooms are available as well as tables and barbecue areas.

The Plantation, #50, is very special, featuring a computer center that is a wireless network and provides FREE Internet access. The unit is large and spacious, 1250 sq. ft., giving each person their own privacy. The bedroom walls are not adjoining, as the two bathrooms are located between each bedroom. Each bedroom has their own TV. A cal-king bed in the master suite and twin beds in the second bedroom. Pictures are worth a thousand words, so be sure to take a look. Nothing is lacking in this luxurious condominium. This is a non Smoking environment, as well.

The living room, kitchen, and master suite boast a beautiful view of the lush gardens towards the pristine blue waters of the ocean. Upon your arrival, after opening the front door, you will sigh as you look at the view. Then you will see the "lanai" (porch, balcony), with lovely comfortable chairs beckoning you to come and sit. To those of us who live on Maui, we call this special feeling "Polynesian Paralysis." It is a wonderful experience. The nightly sunsets will amaze you with their beauty.
